Hose Down a Sudsy Success in its First Year |

The Hose Down for Charity at Peninsula Auto Zone in October attracted 217 cars over two days and raised nearly $7,500 dollars for the Redcliffe Hospital Foundation.
PAZ Manager, Sarah Reberger, said the weekend had been exhausting but fun, and well worth the effort to send such a substantial donation for the Foundation’s Child Protect Program.
“Our staff all pitched in and helped over the weekend, and local residents supported us willingly,” Ms Reberger said.
“Many of the customers came from Clontarf, Redcliffe and Scarborough, and we had people from Sandgate, Deception Bay and North Lakes pop in as well.
“We wanted to especially thank all the businesses which sponsored the event, enabling us to make such a substantial donation.
“We’ll be back next year, so mark it in your diaries now: Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2009.”
